We are proud to introduce the RMU Alumni Ireland — a vibrant and growing community of professional doctors residing in Ireland, all united by a single, proud thread: graduation from Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU), formerly known as Rawalpindi Medical College (RMC).

Our Roots

Rawalpindi Medical University was established in 1974 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Over more than five decades, it has produced thousands of highly skilled medical graduates who have gone on to serve patients across the globe. Its alumni have earned international recognition for their clinical excellence, research contributions, and dedication to the medical profession.

Among those graduates, a significant and ever-growing number have made Ireland their home — bringing with them the values, spirit, and pride instilled by their alma mater.

Who We Are

RMU Alumni Ireland is the official association representing graduates of Rawalpindi Medical University currently living and working in Ireland. Our members include GPs, hospital consultants, registrars, NCHDs, and medical researchers contributing meaningfully to the Irish healthcare system every single day.

We are a diverse, inclusive, and professionally driven community. Whether you graduated in the 1980s or just recently, whether you work in Dublin, Cork, Galway, or anywhere across the island — if you are an RMU graduate in Ireland, this is your community.

What We Do

Our association exists to serve and strengthen the bonds between RMU graduates in Ireland. We do this through:

• Professional Development: Organising CPD-accredited training sessions, workshops, and conferences to support the career growth of our members.
• Networking Events: Hosting social gatherings, dinners, and meetups that bring alumni together in a warm, collegial atmosphere.
• Community Projects: Collaborating on initiatives that benefit both the Irish healthcare community and our broader society.
• University Liaison: Maintaining a strong and proud relationship with Rawalpindi Medical University, supporting its ongoing development and celebrating its legacy.
• Mentorship: Connecting experienced alumni with newer graduates navigating their careers in Ireland.
